If you are disabled as defined by the Equalities Act 2010, are on a benefit relating to your disability, and your disability means that you face significant barriers to finding or staying in work, then Work Choice may be for you.
Work Choice is a voluntary Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) employment programme designed specifically for people who, due to their disability, may find it difficult to find or keep a job.
Work Choice helps people to find and retain work by identifying their needs and providing the necessary support to meet those needs. For many people, it is a stepping stone to full unsupported employment.
We deliver Work Choice in Barnsley, Nottingham, Oldham, Salford, and Sheffield as a subcontractor to Shaw Trust.
One-to-one advice, guidance, and support;
Help with finding, applying and staying in work; and
Support with other areas that may be stopping you getting a job, such as debt and money management, housing, and relationship support.
If you’re interested in the support that Work Choice has to offer, please contact the Disability Employment Adviser at your local Jobcentre.
